"Study in Japan" exhibition for undergraduate and graduate students at Ain Shams University

The study exhibition in Japan was opened for university and graduate students at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Dr. Sherweit Al-Ahmadi, Director of the Immigrants Department at the university, Dr. Yotaroh Aoki, Associate Professor at Kyushu University, Department of International Affairs, and Director of J-MENA Office, Ms. Ayumi Koyama, Third Secretary of the Japanese Embassy in Egypt, Dr. Tamer Mohamed Nasr, Regional Director of Kyushu University in Egypt, Dr. Marina Habib, an assistant teacher at Ain Shams University, Faculty of Al-Alsun, Department of Japanese Language, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, where she welcomed Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, attended the Japanese delegation to Kyushu University, explaining the importance of such scholarships that would provide the community with highly educated graduate students, enabling them to hone their skills and abilities to keep pace with the needs of the labor market is in several sectors such as medicine, engineering, computers and information.

Khawla bin Saida, an academic researcher at Kyushu University, said that what we are presenting today is one of the regional projects under study in the MEXT Global Network Project in Japan. It aims to define the study in Japan by publishing actual studies and enhancing academic linkage between universities in the Middle East, North Africa and Japan. It covers 21 countries in the Middle East and North Africa region, with four priority countries, namely Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Dr. Khawla: The history of Kyushu University dates back to 1903, and the total number of students is currently about (18585), while the number of faculty staff is about 2270. It is one of the universities that greatly encourages international exchange programs, as more than 2,270 students study internationally and according to the QS World University rankings. As of June 2021, Kyushu University is ranked 137th best university in the world, 29th best university in Asia and 7th best university in Japan as of November 2021, with 47 faculties/high schools, more than 50 affiliated research centers and 5 research institutes one regional and one international research institute.

In addition to clarifying the objectives of strengthening cooperation between Egyptian universities and Japanese universities, which is to encourage study in Japan for Egyptian graduates / Egyptian university students, to assist Japanese universities in conducting admission processes at their sites in Egypt, and to provide guidance for students who will be sent to Japan.

Lectures on available programs and scholarships and information on the Egyptian-Japanese Education Initiative were also presented.
