The opening of the annual scientific conference of the Faculty of Engineering for the academic year 2021-2022, in the presence of the Dean and Vice Deans of the Faculty

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Omar El-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Engineering organized its annual scientific conference in the Great Celebration Hall (Palestine), in the presence of Prof. Dr. Sherif Hammad, former Minister of Scientific Research and former Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Amr Shaat, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Vice Dean of Engineering for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabbagh, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and a group of department heads and faculty members at the Faculty,

During his speech at the opening of the conference, Prof. Dr. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty, reviewed the idea of ​​implementing the strategic vision of the Faculty 2025, which was previously approved by the Faculty and university councils, which depends mainly on the principle of activating committees to develop work systems in the Faculty in various sectors, then he moved to highlight some of the most important outputs for the strategic plan during the academic year 2021-2022.

The former heads of departments were honored during the academic year 2021-2022 AD, and the researchers in the Faculty who obtained the best scientific thesis for both the master’s and doctoral levels were honored.

The conference also witnessed a review of the various sectors and some academic activities through Prof. Dr. Amr Eid Al-Salam Sha’at, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Mostafa Refaat Ismail, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Munib Al-Sabbagh, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

At the end of the day, an introductory forum was held on the research activities of the International Conference on Smart Cities 2023, during which the themes of the international conference and the already existing research activities of the faculty members were reviewed.
