A high-level delegation from the People's University of Beijing visited Ain Shams University

Prof. Dr. Abdel Wahab Ezzat, President of Ain Shams University, received a delegation from the People's University of Beijing. The delegation included Vice President of Beijing People's University, Director of the International Cooperation Bureau and Deputy Director of the Bureau.

This happened in the presence of Prof. Dr. Nazmi Abdul Hamid, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Sengab, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Esraa Abdel-Sayed, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Director of the Confucius Center, Prof. Dr. Sherif Al-Kotb Director of the Project Development Unit.

During the meeting, they exchanged views and consultations on scientific and academic exchanges prior to the signing of the agreement to establish the Center for Silk Road Studies, which will be established by the University in cooperation with the People's University, under which Ain Shams University will supervise cooperation between the Egyptian universities and the People's University in Beijing.

Prof. Dr. Esraa Abdel-Sayed, Director of the International Cooperation Office and Director of the Confucius Center, added that the Center for Silk Road Studies will mean logistics and economic studies as well as all initiatives related to the Silk Road.

The President of the University took the delegation to a visit to the Confucius Center at the University; they also visited The Supreme Council of Universities and Cairo University.
