The General Authority of Culture Palaces honors Prof. Dr. Samia Kadri, Professor of Sociology at the Faculty of Girls

The General Authority of Culture Palaces at the Al-Gomhouria Theater of the Egyptian Opera House honored a number of legal figures in Egypt who are creative women, exemplary mothers and prominent figures in society in a celebration entitled "Honoring Egyptian Women 2022 AD" under the patronage of Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture.

Prof. Samia Kadry, former professor and head of the Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Girls, Ain Shams University, was one of these women because of her active and pioneering role in women’s studies and the development of civil society. She is also a member of many committees and scientific societies, including:

- Arbitration committees for promotions of professors and assistant professors.

- Member of the Arab Society for Sociology.

- Member of the Higher Specialized Committee for the Arts, Antiquities and Social Service Sector at the Supreme Council of Culture.

- Member of the arbitration committees of the General Authority for Cultural Palaces.

She has a number of publications in various scientific disciplines, including:

The sociology of place from Zemel to after Foucault, published by Dar Sama for Publishing and Distribution, Cairo, October 2022.

- Egyptian Women’s Issues between Feminism and Post-Feminism Issued by the General Book Authority, Cairo 2020.

The body between modernity and postmodernity, published by the General Book Organization, Cairo, 2015.

She also has experience in the field of translation, where she translates:

- Introduction to Cultural Sociology, issued by the National Center for Translation, Cairo, 2019.
