The activities of the introductory seminars on the principles of the Stock Exchange and Stock Riders simulation models, which were organized by the Faculty of Business over three days, ended under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr.. Khaled Kadri, Dean of the Faculty of Business and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hayam Wahba, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, and coordinator of the cooperation protocol between Ain Shams University and the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
It is worth noting that these seminars come within the cooperation protocol signed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, with Dr. Mohamed Farid, Chairman of the Egyptian Stock Exchange, where the seminars witnessed the attendance of a large number of students from different faculties of the university, graduates, faculty members and the supporting staff.
Prof. Dr. Hayam Wahba explained that these lectures and seminars aimed to spread awareness of stock market activities and the advantages of listing in the stock exchange and raise the levels of knowledge of the community of university students and graduates about the basics of investing in the stock exchange by training them on systems that simulate the process of trading and investing in the stock exchange.
She added that the financial markets play a major role in supporting the state's plans to achieve economic and social development by helping companies in various economic sectors access the necessary financing to increase the volume of their business.
She also added that the lectures were held over three days, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm in Prof. Dr. Ali Lotfi Hall at the Faculty of Business, where Mr. Ahmed Abdel Rahman, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Stock Exchange, lectured on the first day, who gave the students an introductory presentation and an overview of the importance of the stock market, the most important terms related to trading operations, specialized activities and trading activities, as well as mechanisms for protecting dealers. The second day witnessed the attendance of Mr. Ahmed Rushdi, Director of Risk Management, and Mr. Mohamed Salim, Director of Research and Development Department. During the third day, Mr. Mohamed Zuhair, Head of the Financial Culture Department, and Mr. Ahmed Saada, Dr. Mustafa Singer.
On her part, Dr. Hayam Wahba, praised the cooperation with the Egyptian Stock Exchange, because of his role in developing the skills of students and graduates in the field of the stock market labor market through applied programs represented in simulating the stock exchange, which was trained in the faculty.
