Great turn out of students to visit Al-Zohour Charity Exhibition at the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood

The charitable flower exhibition, which was implemented by the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at the Faculty of Graduate Studies in Campus 2 of the university, witnessed a great turnout from university students in many faculties, administrators, some faculty members and visitors, where many types of ornamental plants, flowers and cacti were provided, as well as distinct types from home aromatic plants and various seedlings at discounted prices for students.

The exhibition was held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Howaida El-Gebali, Dean of the Faculty.

The exhibition was prepared and organized by Prof. Dr. Randa Kamal Abdel Raouf, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

Prof. Dr. Randa Kamal explained that the exhibition lasted for two days in a row and succeeded in attracting a large number of visitors, amounting to nearly 500, most of whom were students, noting that the exhibition was implemented by self-efforts with the aim of directing the entire return for the benefit of children who frequent the care center for people with special needs.

She added that the main objective of holding this exhibition is not only to donate to the children of the center, but also to encourage students to buy seedlings of different plants and flowers by providing them at low prices, and motivating them to take care of different plants and take care of them, as well as in order to develop their spirit of giving and donation.

As indicated by Prof. Dr. Randa Kamal indicated that awareness work was carried out for students by placing banners with the names of each type of plants, seedlings and flowers on display, and publications containing instructions on types of flowers and plants and their benefits for visitors.

Everyone who purchased any of the species offered by specialists in the field of agriculture was also educated about how to take care of it, such as how to plant seedlings in the soil, how to transfer them in larger containers to grow, irrigation dates and the proportion of light they need.

She stressed that through this exhibition, the students' love for flowers and their desire to buy them and their eagerness to learn how to take care of them were shown, and some of them made a donation in favor of children with special needs.

It is worth noting that the demand for flowers was not limited to female students only, but a number of male students from the faculties of Pharmacy, Business and Dentistry also attended the exhibition and showed interest in the types of flowers.
