The success of a comprehensive development convoy of the Faculty of Specific Education to Qalyubia Governorate

The convoy was under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Major General Abdel Hamid El-Hagan, Governor of Qalyubia, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environment, Prof. Dr. Gehan Ragab, Advisor to the Vice President for Community Service and Environment Affairs, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Osama El-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, Prof. Dr. Amr Khalil, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environment Affairs, and Prof. Dr.. Ahmed Abdel-Nabi, general coordinator of the convoy and director of the adult education unit at the college.

         
   
         

The Faculty of Specific Education, Ain Shams University, launched the comprehensive development convoy in the villages of Tel Bani Tamim and Selman Al-War in the Qalyubia governorate, in cooperation with the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, the University’s Adult Education Center and the General Authority for Adult Education.

         
   
         

The convoy included good services in various specialties for the people of the villages, including ophthalmology, internal medicine, dentistry, dermatology, children, nose and ear, and brain and nerves, with the provision of necessary medicines to them.

         
   
         

The convoy also included a campaign of clothing and distribution of more than 1,200 pieces of clothing, and the distribution of more than 300 food cartons, to the people of the two villages.

Artistic workshops were also provided to make and how to print textiles on clothes and hand these clothes to the children of the village.

In the same context, the illiteracy eradication unit established a level setting and survey work for more than 80 women from the two villages, in cooperation with the General Authority for Adult Education at the university, and some seminars and awareness activities were held for the people of the two villages.
