The launch of the Scientific Issues of the era competition at the Faculty of Arts

Under the slogan "Science is a treasure that follows its owner wherever he goes", the Scientific Committee of the Student Union of the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University launched the scientific competition entitled: "The Issues of the Era", under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and implementation by Mrs. Neamat Khalifa, Director of Youth Welfare Department, Azza Ali, Director of the Scientific Committee Department, Engy Kamel, Head of the Department of Scientific Activity in the Department, Habiba Nasser, President of the Faculty Union, and Vice-President Maryam Adel, Samah Amir Secretary of the Scientific Committee, and Assistant Secretary Ali Ezzat.

The idea of the competition is for the contestants to participate in writing a research paper on a specific issue or topic, and discussing it before the jury headed by Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Vice Dean of the Faculty, and Mr. Muhammad Al-Khatib, Professor in the Department of Drama and Theater Criticism, participated in its membership.

The competition aims to develop students’ writing and scientific research skills, and use all scientific and cognitive tools to achieve the greatest degree of familiarity with the issue at the center of the research and to measure the students’ ability to propose solutions to contemporary problems and issues facing society.

The competition includes valuable financial prizes for the first 5 places and a certificate of appreciation for all participants.
