Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research witnesses the opening of the second electronic forum entitled "Women's Research and Studies" in faculty of girls

Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Amira Youssef, Dean of the girl’s faculty, Ain shams university President of the Forum, and Prof. Dr. Hanan Al-Shaer, the girls' representative for graduate studies affairs and the forum's rapporteur, opened the activities of the second electronic forum of the Scientific Publishing Unit at the Faculty of Girls under the title "Women's Research and Studies" Sponsored by Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Fadya Kiwan, Director General of the Arab Women Organization and guest of honor of the forum.

The opening was also attended by Prof. Mai Helmy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Heba Barakat, Vice Dean for Environment and Society Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ruqayya Shalaby, former Dean of the girls faculty, Prof. Dr. Jihan Ragab, Advisor of the Vice President of Ain Shams University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, along with a delegation from the National Council for Women, heads of departments and a number of faculty staff at the faculty.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, stressed that the university administration is constantly working to support scientific research, advance international publishing, and develop the skills of researchers, the teaching assistants and faculty staff, pointing to the services provided by the university to raise the level of graduate programs and the capabilities of researchers, as it is an essential role for the university.

For her part, Prof. Dr. Amira Youssef, Dean of the faculty, praised the efforts of the Scientific Publishing Unit at the faculty in supporting research and publishing research. She praised the faculty for Girls’ long history in exporting knowledge and creating a promising generation of students and researchers, and she noted the ongoing cooperation between the faculty of Girls and the Arab Women Organization.

Prof. Hanan Al-Shaer, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, explained the opportunities available to researchers considering information and communication technology and the state's strategy, which is adopted and supported by Ain Shams University in supporting scientific research and spreading knowledge.

Prof. Dr. Fadia Kiwan, Director-General of the Arab Women Organization, expressed her happiness with the forum and the expected cooperation with the faculty of Girls and the efforts made by Ain Shams University to advance scientific research and international publishing in line with the aspirations of the Arab community in that the role of the university turns into shaping society, not only scholars and researchers, and that it becomes The Arab community is a source of knowledge for the whole world.

Dr. Radwa Ramadan, Director of the Scientific Publishing Unit, indicated the objectives of the forum, pointing out that it provides researchers with unique scientific sessions that present the most important trends in research in all fields. The forum aims to:

Keeping pace with global interest in developing women's participation in scientific research

• Encouraging research and study in the field of women

• Encouraging the publication of researches concerned with the study of women's issues.

• Strengthening communication between researchers, specialists and those interested in women's issues.

• Opening up prospects for cooperation with the Arab Women's Organization to benefit from international expertise in the areas that concern women.

• Discussing the challenges faced by women researchers, and the proposed solutions to overcome them.

• Presenting pioneering female models in scientific research

• Monitoring some contributions of women in various sciences

         
   
         

It is worth noting that the second electronic forum of the Scientific Publishing Unit at the Faculty of Girls entitled "Women & @ Research" will be held on Sunday and Monday 30-31 January 2022, during which five remote sessions are held in the fields of research in arts, sciences, and education, in which professors from Inside and outside Egyptian universities.
