The Supreme Council of Universities approves the establishment of centers for the care of gifted, talented and creative people in Egyptian universities

The Supreme Council of Universities, headed by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Secretariat of Dr. Muhammad Latif, for establishing centers for the care of talented, genius and creative people in universities; In implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in his meeting with the Supreme Council of Universities, during his visit to Kafr El-Sheikh University, last December 14.

Universities seek through the establishment of centers for the care of talented, genius and creative people; To discover and hone students’ creative, innovative and artistic skills and develop them, while providing an incubating and stimulating environment for talented, creative and talented people, and preparing them to participate in the country’s march towards sustainable and comprehensive development.

Dr. Adel Abdel Ghaffar, Media Adviser and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Higher Education, said that the mission of the centers for the care of gifted, talented and creative universities in universities is to contribute to preparing and creating the appropriate environment for students; To help discover their talents and abilities and develop their artistic, mathematical, scientific, innovative and creative abilities; To turn into creativity on the ground, to keep pace with development in all fields, through clear, intended and planned mechanisms.

The official spokesman added that the strategic goals of the centers are multiple, including the development of accurate and sustainable scientific mechanisms; To discover talented, talented and creative people, and to create an environment that allows them to highlight their abilities and develop their potential and talents, in addition to developing their creativity; To show talents locally, regionally and internationally, and to guide talented students to deal effectively with the developments of the times, in addition to designing specific programs to meet their needs and develop their abilities, and to enhance the national belonging of the talented and direct their abilities for this, and to develop the university community’s awareness of the importance of talent, genius and creativity.

These centers also aim to turn into incubators for all the talented, talented and creative students of the university, marketing their innovations and creativity and providing support to them, in addition to cooperating with various cultural, artistic and civic institutions entrusted with the care of talent, genius and creativity, and organizing meetings, field visits and joint cooperation relations between the university and a wide group of companies and institutions in the public and private sectors; To serve the talented and creative people, and prepare them for the labor market; To showcase their talents and creativity, as well as support graduation projects for multidisciplinary fields.

The spokesperson added that these centers will design specialized training programs to develop the technical capabilities of talented people, by identifying the future requirements of the labor market, in addition to direct contact with the work environment, tools, and techniques that allow them to practice while learning, and organizing competitions; To discover talents and innovations at the university level, encourage students to implement realistic designs or products with a profit, organize academic seminars and events that will create communication with experts and learn about trends, modern technologies, and provide guidance to talented people.
