Ain Shams University has made great progress in the number of international research published during the year 2021 compared to the year 2020, according to a statement published by the Egyptian Observatory for Science, Technology and Innovation at the Academy of Scientific Research.
This comes within the framework of the efforts of the Ain Shams University administration headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, to support scientific research and researchers.
Ain Shams University ranked second among Egyptian universities in terms of the number of internationally published research by Egyptian researchers during the year 2021, as the number of research published by researchers from Ain Shams University reached 3,619 international research, with an increase rate of 21.15% compared to the previous year.
Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, said that this progress reflects the university’s keenness to achieve its vision, which aims to support a system that supports scientific research and stimulates innovation, in light of the effective contribution of university scholars based on the university’s strategy (2018-2023) and consistent with Egypt’s vision 2030 for the university to become an advantage. Global competitiveness within the framework of an innovative system in education, research, knowledge and community service.
As highlighted by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, the university is keen to maximize the values of rewards granted to faculty members and their assistants for their tireless efforts in publishing distinguished international research, which contributes to achieving permanent progress in classifying the university according to international standards.
The number of research published by Egyptian researchers in universities and research centers reached 38,664 international papers, and Ain Shams University came in the ranking after Cairo University.
