The President of Ain Shams University meets the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Crédit Agricole Egypt and the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Education First Foundation

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, met with Professor Assem Ragab, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Credit Agricole Egypt and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Credit Agricole Egypt for Development, Ms. Hanan Seif, Director General of the Foundation, and Dr. Salma El-Bakry, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of “Education First” Foundation, and Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Hamza, CEO of the Foundation, to discuss Ebhar Misr program to discover talents through the Community Scientific Innovation Competition, in the presence of Prof. Dr.. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Mostafa Refaat, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Education and Student Affairs, and shared them via video conference technology, Prof. Dr. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Nagwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr.. Tamer Emara, Professor of Neurology, and Prof. Dr. Diaa Abdel Magid Khalil, General Supervisor of Innovation and Creativity at Ain Shams University and former Dean of Ain Shams Engineering.

         
   
         

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, welcomed the cooperation with the Credit Agricole Egypt Foundation for Development and the Education First Foundation, stressing the keenness of Ain Shams University to open up and cooperate with various agencies and civil society institutions.

         
   
         

Mr. Assem Ragab confirmed that Credit Agricole Egypt Foundation for Development, in partnership with the Education First Foundation, launched the “Ebhar Misr” program with the aim of supporting distinguished talents in the fields of science, technology and the arts to provide young people capable of achieving real and impressive leaps.

He also added that Ebhar Misr program works through an electronic platform, with the aim of being a magnet for all talented youth in Egypt."

It is worth noting that the Credit Agricole Egypt Foundation for Development was established in 2017 for the purpose of community development through sustainable development projects, focusing on the fields of education, health, entrepreneurship and the environment in order to provide a better life for the Egyptian community as a whole.

At the end of the meeting, the attendees visited IHUB Innovation Center and the Employment Center at Ain Shams University
