Minister of Higher Education: Announcement of applying for scholarships in China
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, received a report submitted by Dr. Ashraf Al-Azzazi, Head of the Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector, about the opening of the Language Teaching and Cooperation Center (GSP) of the Chinese Ministry of Education to apply for the China Studies Program 2022-2023, which allows obtaining scholarships in the top 18 Chinese universities.
The report stated that the deadline for applying for these grants is March 31, 2022, as these grants are available to those wishing to participate in research related to China in the humanities and social sciences, and have the ability to conduct research in the Chinese language, and the program includes: (joint research doctorate, which sponsors students Ph.D. registered in foreign universities and wish to travel to China to study, joint research and write doctoral theses in general, with a duration of one semester to two academic years), in addition to (China Fellowship, sponsoring distinguished foreign master’s graduates; to study for a PhD degree in Chinese universities According to the requirements of the educational system of the university, and the duration of study is a maximum of four years).
The report pointed out the need to meet a set of conditions for applicants for grants, including Chinese language proficiency for joint research doctoral students, with a score of no less than 210 in the (HSK Level IV) test, and fellowship researchers require a score of no less than 210 in the (HSK Level 4) test. Fifth), in addition to the requirements to achieve a certain level of English for applicants to English language programs.
The report added that the scholarships cover tuition fees, living expenses, research allowances, international travel expenses and so on, and the application must be submitted online on Xiamen University's international student application system.

The report pointed out that the Chinese Academy of Sciences announced that it has opened the door for applications for more than 160 doctoral degree programs, more than 40 English-language master's degree programs in various disciplines, and more than 200 Chinese-language master's degree programs.
