Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Mamdouh El-Damaty, Dean of the Faculty of Archeology, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, the former Minister of Antiquities and Head of the Department of Museums and Archaeological Sites Department, the Master’s students in the Department of Museums and Archaeological Sites presented a presentation Their research projects are within temporary museum displays.
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Shouki, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, confirmed that this course focuses on building students’ creative abilities by inventing ideas and projects for temporary museum displays to be implemented in museums or archaeological sites. And the selection of antiques on which the idea of the exhibition will be built, in addition to modern display methods that fit the theme of the exhibition, with a focus on activities and methods of advertising and marketing. The students’ research projects came under attractive and interesting titles, including an exhibition on musical instruments in Egypt under the title (Doki Oh Music, and another about children’s galabies, the students chose for him the title (My Galabiti and I’m Young), while another temporary exhibition on tombstones was titled (Worship God). This came at a time when it came after innovative exhibitions that relied on modern technology and hologram technology, such as the (Egyptian Passport) exhibition, which was devoted to building hologram images of Egyptian antiques displayed outside Egypt - such as Ras Nefertiti and others - and they are displayed in one exhibition inside Egypt in its digital form with many doing One of the activities related to our Egyptian antiquities abroad.
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Shouki, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, added that among the other interesting presentations, an exhibition on Egyptian foods through the ages, came under the name (mm), an ancient Egyptian word that means food or food and is still used until now.
These activities come within the framework of preparing graduate students at the Faculty of Archeology for the labor market.
It is worth noting that the Department of Museums and Archaeological Sites Management at the Faculty of Archeology is one of the few distinguished departments locally and regionally.
This is in addition to the Department of Archeology and Excavations, which is the first of its kind in Egypt and the Arab world.
