Introductory seminar on the activities of the Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority

Within the framework of the initiative announced by Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to support the scientific publication of Egyptian researchers and scientists, Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, supervised by Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, in cooperation with the Egyptian Knowledge Bank and the Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority headed by Prof. Dr. Walaa Sheta, CEO of the Fund, held an introductory seminar on the activities of the Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority in supporting scientific publishing for Egyptian faculty members, the supporting body, and researchers, at 10 o’clock this morning, Monday, January 3, at El Mahalawy auditorium, Faculty of Medicine, at the university.

This comes in partnership with publisher Springer Nature to cover the cost of scholarly publication as of January 1, 2022 for journals rated Q1, Q2 as well as Q3 for some time.

It is worth noting that the scientific articles under agreement must be the first author and the responsible person for communicating with the journal Corresponding author, holding Egyptian nationality, working in one of the Egyptian universities or research centers, and having only one address, which is his university, single affiliation.
