With verses from the Noble Qur’an and the Republican Peace, the festive activities “Our Children of Determination… Our Wealth” began. It was organized by the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood at Ain Shams University, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, headed by Prof. Dr. Howayda Al-Gebali, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Kahki, Director of the Center for People with Needs, Prof. Dr. Manal Omar, Professor of Psychiatry, Prof. Dr. Zakaria El-Desouky, Head of Media and Children's Culture Department, Prof. Dr. Amr Nahle, Professor of Media and Children's Culture at the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Sameh Awadallah, Professor of Media and Children's Culture, Dr. Lamis Mekkawi, Pediatrics teacher at the Faculty, Dr. Ashraf Shalaby is a teacher of the Department of Media and Children's Culture at the Faculty, and some specialists and administrators at the faculty and the center.
In his speech during the celebration, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, expressed his happiness at his presence in the events that include these talented children who presented many works of art that he inspected before entering the ceremonial hall, calling for the need to intensify efforts from the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood, the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Specific Education to take the hands of these Children to develop their skills and help them reach what they aspire to because they deserve it.
Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, addressed his sons and daughters of determination, stressing that God created us different to complement each other.
He explained that these children had conquered difficulties with their differences and their strong will, describing them as stars who could light up the world. Allocating the year 2018 to be the year for people with special needs, in which Law No. 10 of 2018, was issued, and he thanked the President of the University and the University Administration, which paid great attention to these children by providing several services to them, while Prof. Dr. Howayda Al-Gebali, Dean of the Faculty, expressed her gratitude to the university for supporting children with determination, stressing that the university spares no effort in providing all possibilities and facilities to provide integrated services for people of determination.
She also presented the faculty shield to Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Kahki, director of the Center for People with Special Needs, indicated that he held his position for five years, during which he witnessed a colleague obtain three children with special needs and thought that God had afflicted him, but over time he realized that God had blessed him with these three talented children who became a blessing and not a trial.
In a speech delivered by Imam Sheikh Al-Shahat Al-Sayyid Al-Azzazi, the imam and preacher of the Mosque of Al-Moshir Tantawi and the Al-Fattah Al-Alim Mosque, he stressed that the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of our Noble Prophet urged attention to all segments of society, and stressed that the mother and father should strive to discover the talents and creativity of their children, citing the incident of our master “Abdullah Ibn Maktum” about which God revealed His saying “He frowned and turned away if the blind man came to him,” so the Prophet spread his cloak for him to sit when he saw him.
He stressed that many Muslim scholars have been named after them, such as the Muslim scholar "Hatim al-Asam," noting that God tests the afflicted and those around him as well.
The children of the Center of Special Needs at the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood presented a lyrical and a performance paragraph entitled "Ibn Masr", in addition to presenting a theatrical activity for the students of the faculty.
