Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Dr. Hisham Temraz, Vice President of Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty for Girls, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Heba Barakat, Vice Dean of Community Service and Environmental Development, Mr. Suhail Hamza, the Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the Faculty of Girls, Ain Shams University, organized a comprehensive development convoy for Bahada village, Qalyubia Governorate.
The convoy was launched with the participation of a number of faculty staff, the supporting staff, and the employees of the faculty, with good participation from the Faculty of Medicine (internal, orthopedic, pediatric, family medicine) and the Faculty of Nursing, and Pharmacy at Ain Shams University, and with the active participation of the faculty’s literacy unit, and in coordination with the University’s Adult Education Center.
The activities of the convoy included a free medical examination for the people of the village, the distribution of medicines necessary for their cases, and several awareness seminars with the participation of faculty staff from the departments of zoology, philosophy, biochemistry and nutrition to raise awareness among our people in Bahada village, with the positive participation of Al-Kisa Bank, Al-Shifa Bank, and pharmaceutical companies (Global Nabi and Pharaonic). Also, 100 blankets and 100 bags of food commodities were distributed to the villagers.
Also, 80 children's clothes, a number of toys, sweets, fruits, pencils, juices and baked goods were distributed to the orphanage in the village.
