Faculty of Al-Alsun celebrates the International Day of People of Determination

The Cultural Relations Committee of the Graduate Studies and Research Sector at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, organized a celebration on the occasion of the global celebrations of people of determination, in cooperation with the Mishwar Al-Thaladi Association, and the Rafiq Al-Darb Library, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Nasser Abdel Aal, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Attia, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, in the presence of Prof. Dr.. Nasser Abdel Aal and Prof. Dr. Youmna Azmy, Professor of Spanish Language and Head of the Cultural Relations Committee at the faculty, Prof. Dr. Nagwa Mahrez, former head of the Spanish language department, current president of the Association for those interested in Spanish culture, and a group of members of the cultural committee, Dr. Magda Haroun and Dr. Yasmine Azmy, professors of the Spanish language, and d. Asim Al-Amari and Dr. Samar Mounir, professors of the German language.

During his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Nasser Abdel-Aal, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, said that the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University officially entered the merger at the beginning of this year, explaining that the Faculty administration is under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, has taken great steps to provide all the requirements of the integration process among students and provide all the needs of people of determination to achieve the principle of equal opportunities for all, noting that people of determination are heroes and have the will to enable them to overcome all the difficulties they face, in parallel with spreading the culture of Integration and rehabilitation of the surrounding environment to suit their requirements.

Prof. Dr. Yomna Azmy, rapporteur of the cultural committee at the Faculty, pointed out that each individual in the community has strengths that must be developed and worked to refine, in addition to weaknesses that must be collectively worked to strengthen them and provide the opportunities and capabilities necessary to overcome them, stressing that the integration process must include all sectors of society.

Dr. Assem Al-Ammari, a member of the Cultural Committee, said that the global community does not recognize the existence of any obstacles standing in the way of creativity, pointing out that our Egyptian society bears witness to history in supporting people of determination and enabling them to achieve global successes in their fields, and one of the most famous of them is the Nobel Prize-winning writer Taha Hussein.

The celebration witnessed several artistic performances presented by people of determination from the faculty’s sons and the sons of the Meshwar Al-Tahadi Association, and they were handed over certificates of appreciation from the Faculty’s Cultural Relations Committee.
