Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Graduate Studies and Research, the university's celebration of the International Day of the Arabic Language, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Essam Sharaf, former Prime Minister of Egypt, Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Director of the International Relations Sector, and a group of deans and professors of the university, where he and his companions inspected the plastic arts exhibition for university students, a book fair in cooperation with the General Book Authority and the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, an exhibition of plastic arts of the Egyptian Opera House, a book fair for the Arabic language complex, in addition to an art exhibition Fine art for professors and students of the Faculty of Specific Education.
During the opening speech, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, said that it is a dear day for us that we all meet today to celebrate the Arabic language and culture as specialists and non-specialists, to celebrate the language of the Dhad, pointing out that our beautiful language did not receive proper care and attention in recent times and was even neglected by many sectors of us, stressing that Paying attention to the Arabic language and culture is a necessity for many reasons.
Prof. Dr. Salah Fadl was pleased to honor the prestigious Ain Shams University for the members of the Arabic Language Academy as a pioneering step adopted by Ain Shams University and a distinguished precedent for Egyptian universities.
The university choir also presented patriotic songs that were well received by the audience.
A number of radio and television media icons were also honored, including: media personality Hanan Abdel Majid Askar, chief announcer on Egyptian radio, media figure Dina Kandil, presenter on Egyptian television and owner of cultural and linguistic programs on Egyptian television, media person Abdullah Yousry, newscaster and announcer of national events on Egyptian television, media figure Hazem Taha The announcer of the public program and the owner of famous programs such as Say and Do Not Say / Adjust your language / Linguistic pitfalls / Quoting literature from the words of the Arabs.
In addition to a poetic performance by Dr. Ahmed Taymour, poet Gamal Bakhit and artist Ahmed El Haggar. Where the results will be announced and the winners participating in the university’s competition in the fields of classical poetry - colloquial poetry - lyrics - poetry recitation - short story - essay writing - script and dialogue - novel - theatrical composition - will be honored.
The celebration includes artistic performances and performances by the university choir team, Arabic music, playing, and the university team presents a folklore and Tanoura show, in addition to religious chanting and hymns for the university team, in addition to the religious vocalist Ali Al-Helbawi.
Two seminars were also held during the celebration: the first, entitled "Language in the Contemporary Arabic Novel", moderated by the media and writer Rola Kharsa, in which: the novelist Ahmed Al-Qarmlawy, winner of the Katara Prize in Literature 2021, the journalist and novelist Professor Mustafa Obeid, and the writer and novelist Dr. Osama Abdel-Raouf.
