The Faculty of Archeology holds its fourth board meeting

The Board of the Faculty of Archeology at Ain Shams University held its fourth monthly meeting on Monday 13/12/2021 in Prof. Dr. Alaa Fayez hall under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, headed by Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Al-Damaty, Dean of the Faculty, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Hossam Tantawi, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Shouki, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies Affairs, gentlemen members of the Council from within, and Eng. Ghada Mustafa Labib, Deputy Minister of Communications for Institutional Development, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Samir Hamza, professor at the Faculty of Science as members from abroad.

       
   
       

The Dean of the Faculty opened the meeting by congratulating H. E. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Ali, a professor at the faculty and former Minister of Antiquities, for taking the position of “rapporteur of the Antiquities Sector Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities”, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Samir Hamza for assuming the position of "Advisor to the Egyptian Government at the American University in Cairo".

Then, His Excellency discussed the topics of the meeting related to education, students, graduate studies and community service, which included the approval of the transfer and appointment of some teaching assistants, setting dates for the first semester exams for the academic year 2021/2022, forming examination committees at the college and the tasks of each committee for the undergraduate stage, and the formation of the postgraduate studies control. And recordings of some topics submitted for master’s and doctoral theses in the departments of ancient Egyptian antiquities and the management of museums and archaeological sites, and briefing on a cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Archeology - Ain Shams University - and the Center for Islamic Studies and Studies of the Ancient Near and Middle East at Philips University in Marburg, Germany, and reviewing and approving the reports of the two units of quality and information technology, And discussing a proposal to transform the college into an environment friendly one.
