The Vice President of Education and Students Affairs, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals inaugurated the 40th Annual Conference of the Faculty of Medicine under the theme "Together for Healthy Egyptians", which is being held under the auspices of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the President of Ain Shams University.
During his speech, Prof. Dr. Abdul Fattah Saud, praised the size of the scientific, research and academic momentum witnessed by the conference of the Faculty of Medicine.
Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metiny, President of the Conference confirmed that the annual conference of the Faculty of Medicine has witnessed a real boom over the last four years as a result of the implementation of a clear vision to merge the conferences of all the departments of the Faculty in one medical event under the name of "Ain Shams Medical Week". It will include 36 conferences will be held in parallel to form the largest medical event in Egypt and the Middle East, with the participation of 42 foreign experts from around the world and more than 300 scientific sessions, attended by nearly 6,000 doctors from various disciplines.
He announced the success of Ain Shams University has been recognized as a global leap forward in the QS ranking to 301: 350 worldwide, confirming the college's relentless pursuit of becoming one of the top 200 colleges in the world.
He expressed his pride that the Faculty received the certificate of QS International Organization which confirms the progress of Ain Shams University in nine fields, including two fields in the medical sector.
He referred to the efforts of Ain Shams University in general and the Faculty of Medicine especially in the development of both the health service and the level of graduates and improving the system of medical education to keep pace with the state's efforts to raise the level of health service in Egypt.
Prof. Dr. Shahera Mousa, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development and Vice President of the Conference, said that the Faculty endeavors to open the horizons of cooperation and partnership with various institutions concerned with medical education and health service, saying "either education and development or death". No one succeeds or continues to succeed alone.
Prof. Dr. Ehab Abdel Fattah explained that the activities of Ain Shams Medical Week began on March 16 and ended at the 22nd of the same month. He stressed that the participation is not limited to professors, specialists and senior academics, but the conference was devoted to opening the way for students and young researchers to identify their aspirations, dreams and demands as the real momentum towards a better future.
