The Faculty of Engineering Board honors the winning students of ASUWind team during the entrepreneurship competition activities

Prof. Dr. Omar Mohamed El-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University, during the activities of the Faculty Board, honored the winning students of ASUWind team at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University during the activities of an entrepreneurship competition sponsored by the Al-Alfi Foundation within the framework of the activities of the World Forum for Higher Education and Scientific Research (second edition).

More than 16 teams representing all Egyptian universities participated in the competition to present new ideas for start-ups in the fields of science and technology.

Ain Shams University has participated in ASUWind team, which includes a large number of students from different programs and disciplines in the field of wind energy, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Omar El-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Education and Student Affairs.

The team reviewed the idea of ​​starting a company that would design and manufacture small wind turbines to generate electricity in remote areas. The team managed to win the first place in the competition equally with a team from Mansoura Engineering.
