Dean of Faculty of Alsun, Ain Shams university, participates in the Republic of Tanzania's Independence Day celebrations

Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University, participated in the celebrations of the Tanzanian embassy in Cairo, on the occasion of its 60th independence day, in the presence of Mr. Anselimu Bahati, the Tanzanian ambassador in Cairo, Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Bahrawi, Professor at the Faculty of Engineering and member of the special committee to establish a branch of Ain Shams University in the United Republic of Tanzania, and a group of public figures.

During her speech, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University, congratulated the public and leadership of Tanzania on the occasion of Independence Day, stressing that these defining moments of the life of the homelands are sought by the peoples of the world, and represent a new starting point towards the horizons of development and liberation.

She pointed out that in light of the Egyptian state's interest in its African backer and its presidency of COMESA represented by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in a clear message to the pioneering role of the Egyptian state and its interest in the friendly peoples in our African neighborhood, which history witnesses to the pivotal role of the Egyptian state with all its institutions in alleviating suffering and advancing development. across the African continent.

For example, the Department of African Languages was established at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, and the department includes a special division for the Swahili language, which is the second most widespread language in the African continent after the language of Arabic, the seventh world language on the list approved by the United Nations.

Although the Swahili language department has been established 10 years ago, the demand was great to join the department, and the brotherly Tanzanian side supported the language's lecturers to achieve the maximum benefit for the faculty students.

Ain Shams University also harnessed all its capabilities to provide comfort to students in Tanzania and all the African neighborhood by agreeing to establish a care office for students of sister African countries and support them with all their requirements to study at the university.

Swahili language students at the college participate in many events and activities for African countries in cooperation with their embassies in Cairo, with the aim of preparing a distinguished graduate of the language practitioner.

During her speech, she explained that among the world's languages, the Arabic language stands firm with its network of relationships at all levels.؛ Cultural, historical, religious, political and economic links with the cultures of the whole world, so the Department of Arabic Language at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, offers the golden opportunity to master Arabic language skills, and put students at the heart of global cultural interactions, through a distinguished program in language and translation in the credit hour system which approved for non-Arabic speakers.
