President and Vice President of Ain Shams University honor University choir team

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abd El-Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Education and Student Affairs, honored the University choir team “East Spirit” which includes 150 male and female students from different faculties of the University. The choir is led by Maestro Mahmoud Mohsen and the Music Arranger Fady El-Hossieny, and under supervision of Prof. Dr. Tamer Rady, Student Activity Counsel. The choir was given certificates of appreciation and financial rewards.

The honoring was witnessed by Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Post-graduate Study and Research Affairs and Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

It is to be mentioned that the University choir presents different types of music and singing. It uses the “A cappella” as a unique type of singing. The choir fulfilled several achievements and important participations in numerous artistic events and cultural forums, including its participations in Creation Festival through its 9 editions which are organized yearly by the Ministry of Culture. The choir obtained several awards in these editions.

The choir team participated in number of national events including its annual participation with the Military Research Body in Celebrations of the anniversary of October Victory since 2008 and until 2021. The choir participation in the celebration of Command and Staff College is the earliest, which was under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohammad El-Khatib, University Secretary Assistant for Education and Student Affairs, Mr. Mohammad El-Sharkawy, General Manager of Youth Welfare Administration and Mr. Mostafa Aisa, Manager of Art Activity Administration and MS. Hend Hamed.
