Department of Chinese language in the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University organizes orientation day

Department of Chinese Language in the Faculty of Al-Alsun organized orientation meeting for year one students, academic year 2021/2022, to introduce the Chinese language mainstream system for year one. This was under the sponsorship of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abd El-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and Prof. Dr. Mervat Ali, Head of Chinese Language Department, with the presence of group of the faculty staff, teaching assistants and department students taking into consideration the precautions to face the consequences of Covid 19.

Prof. Dr. Mervat Ali, Head of Chinese Language Department, said that the Department of Chinese Language was opened in 1958 and is considered one of the oldest and most prestigious departments in the Faculty, and one of the greatest departments of Chinese Language in Egypt and Arab Countries as well as in Africa.

         
   
         

She mentioned that the vision of the Faculty is to provide special educational programs that adopt innovation according to quality standards to fulfill labor market needs and serve the community, to support, culturally and scientifically, the Arab Egyptian links with China, and develop the researching skills to graduate cadre of researchers specialized in language, literature and translation.

She emphasized that the mission of the Chinese language program is to provide special educational program that adopt innovation according to quality standards to fulfill labor market needs and serve the community, and to support, culturally and scientifically, the Arab Egyptian links with China through developing the linguistic and research skills in Chinese language and literature in addition to the written translation to and from the Arabic language to graduate cadre of researchers specialized in language, literature and translation.

The events also witnessed honoring the student Nour Tarek Mohammad, student of the 4th year in mainstream system, for winning the grand prize in “Me and China” competition organized by the Chinese Cultural Center in Cairo.
