A report was submitted to Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, about the participation of a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Egyptian universities in the “Education in Egypt from Nursery to Labor Market” event at Expo 2020 Dubai. The Future, Egypt for Science and Technology, Coventry), in a session entitled: “Higher Education Institutions in Egypt: The Path to the Future.”
Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, gave a presentation entitled "Towards Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals: Strategies, Achievements, and Challenges", which dealt with the development of planning for setting sustainable development goals in Egypt from 2015 until the 2030 plan, as the global goals for sustainable development 2015 focus on overcoming poverty, providing Health awareness, gender equality, the use of new energy sources, industrial development, and solving climate problems, up to the development of the new Egypt plan for the "Sustainable Development Goals 2030".
Prof. Dr. El-Metini referred to the size and position of Ain Shams University as one of the ancient Egyptian universities, and one of the oldest universities in Africa and the Middle East, in addition to its registration for advanced positions in the international rankings of universities, at the level of general and specialized classifications, and the university also paid attention to new study programs that respond to the needs of the labor market in the future.
