During her speech, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, said that the interest in interdisciplinary studies and the lifting of barriers between sciences and their various disciplines, a vision based on eliminating separations between disciplines and integrating various sciences and disciplines; This is reflected in the faculty's specialized programs based on interpretation and translation, up to the faculty's graduate program in "Translation Technology", which is one of the uses of integrating sciences.

She pointed out that all sectors of the college integrate and cooperate to participate in the work to support innovative ideas, as the role of universities is no longer dependent on merely writing theoretical research; Rather, the need has become urgent to transform innovative ideas to serve society.

While Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Behairi, Director of the Innovation Center at the university, said that the humanities are the basis for studying engineering; Where it is necessary to study the human and work for his benefit.

         
   
         

He pointed out that the centers of innovation and entrepreneurship have recently become the focus of the state's attention, explaining that in Finland today 6 out of ten graduates establish their own company, after developing specialized programs to support innovation from laid-off mobile phone companies. The continuous development of innovative ideas is very important; It has become a trend for global economies to be based on innovation, the leap in the economy will not take place without innovation.

He noted that the adventurous spirit of young people puts them in a suitable position to rebel against societal problems and work with all their energies to create new innovative ideas to innovatively overcome societal problems.

He explained that Ain Shams University was a pioneer among Egyptian universities in establishing a center to support innovative ideas, with the aim of searching for students' passion and setting guiding rules to attract innovative ideas from within the minds of students and support them, from the beginning of the idea until its presentation in the market to solve a problem with achieving a return on investment and registration Patents.

It was also agreed to hold an iDiscovery workshop, organized by the Innovation Unit, aimed at helping participants discover their passion and entrepreneurship style, and build an entrepreneurial mindset using some principles of common sense. potential innovation.

The two winners from the Faculty of Al-Alsun were honored in the innovation competitions held by Ain Shams University last year. They are Israa Gamal, a graduate of the English Department, and the second-place winner in the innovation competition held on the sidelines of the Fourth Generation Universities Conference, and Youmna Bariqa, a master's researcher in the Department of English Language and the winner of the first place in the researchers' track, the humanities sector.

At the end of the event, the Innovation Unit announced its upcoming activities in the new academic year of seminars and workshops, announcing the start of candidacy for membership in the Innovation Club (iClub) next week, and the launch of the second edition of the innovation competition “lingers innovate” in December.
