The Spanish Department of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, organized a celebration on the occasion of the Colombian Cultural Day, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Attia, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Al-Saghir, Head of the Spanish Language Department at the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Yomna Azmy, Assistant Professor of the Spanish Language Department and Rapporteur of the Cultural Committee of the Graduate Studies and Research Sector at the Faculty, in the presence of Mr. Felipe Albarado Gaitan, Minister Plenipotentiary at the Embassy of Colombia in Cairo.

During her speech, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, said that the celebration comes within the framework of supporting the cultural relations between the two countries, stressing that the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University is the main gateway for international communication and cooperation between the Middle East and the African back and among the countries of the Western world, with its specialized cadres in various languages ​​of the world. She stressed that the Faculty administration spares no effort to extend continued cooperation and fruitful partnerships with various countries of the world in order to raise the distinguished educational level enjoyed by the student of Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University, pointing out that the development of the educational process needs to develop the infrastructure of the Faculty in conjunction with holding international partnerships, As well as expanding the establishment of specialized programs in different languages ​​to prepare a new generation of specialists who are able to meet the requirements of the Egyptian state and, in turn, contribute to completing the construction of the new republic.

While Prof. Dr. Ashraf Attia, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, said that holding the Colombian Cultural Day at the Faculty of Al-Alsun in the presence of the Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of Colombia in Cairo is a strong indication of the important role played by the Faculty of Al-Alsun in intercultural communication and strengthening scientific and cultural ties with the countries that study their languages ​​in the faculty, pointing out Al-Alsun is considered an international forum, its members speak fifteen languages ​​and the customs and traditions of the six continents of the world meet.

Dr. Mohamed Al-Saghir, Head of the Spanish Language Department, said that this type of activities improves the level of language students, and that Colombia is one of the sister countries that we are happy to cooperate with.

Dr. Youmna Azmy added that this activity is one of the non-traditional methods of education that expands the students' perceptions, and that the department is keen to carry out such activities with all the embassies of Spanish-speaking countries.

Felipe Albarado Gaitan, Minister Plenipotentiary at the Embassy of Colombia in Cairo, affirmed that the Colombian people enjoy distinguished relations with the Egyptian side at the level of bilateral relations between the two countries. Nobel.
