Stuttering in children... A scientific seminar at the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies for Childhood

On the occasion of the International Day of Stuttering and under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Howaida El-Geabali, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood, the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood at Ain Shams University is organizing a scientific symposium entitled “Stuttering at Children in Society, Between Adaptation and Social Withdrawal and Its Impact on the Psychology of the Child” on Sunday 31/10/2021 in the main auditorium of the faculty at 11:00 am.

     
 
     

The seminar is under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Manal Omar Medicine, Psychiatrist, Department of Pediatric Medical Studies, and Dr. Reham Ahmed Fahim is a specialist in speech pathology in the Department of Pediatric Medical Studies, and the trainee will be awarded a certificate of attendance from the college.

It is worth noting that the International Stuttering Awareness Day falls on October 22 of each year, which has been celebrated since 1998.

The aim of the day's activities is to commit to the health and safety of individuals and to raise awareness of the causes and methods of treating people with this condition.

"Stuttering" is defined by the sufferer's difficulty speaking, and the presence of disturbance when speaking and speaking.

It is intensified depending on the person's condition, and is worst when the person is tired, excited, or under stress.
