The Department of Media at the Faculty of Arts participates in “Egypt Asteroid” initiative by “The Journey” movie

A student delegation from the Department of Communication and Media Sciences, Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and Prof. Dr. Heba Shaheen, head of the Department of Communication and Media Sciences, participated in "Egypt Asteroid" initiative, which was launched by the Egyptian Space Agency, headed by Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Kosy, CEO of the agency, for students of media faculties and departments in various Egyptian universities to spread the culture of space, by preparing documentary films and advertising campaigns, in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The students of the Department of Communication and Media Sciences at the Faculty of Arts are preparing a film entitled (The Journey) about the Tyco office at the Egyptian Space Agency, which includes three specialized offices: Technology Transfer Office, Patent Office, Grants Support Office and International Cooperation, with the aim of supporting innovation, transfer and commercialization of technology, searching for new ideas and sponsoring their owners, in addition to providing them with the appropriate environment.

A group of students from the Media Department participate in making the film: Youssef Amr, Yahya Ahmed, Maryam Ismail, Nour Afifi, Rana Yahya, Rawan Bahgat, Lamis Hisham, Omnia Abu Al-Khair, Amira Badawi.

That was under the supervision of Ms. Nesma Mohamed, assistant teacher in the department, and Ms. Esraa Mohamed Ramadan, teaching assistant, in the department.
