Department of Communication and Information Sciences, Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Dr. Heba Shahin received four awards in graduation projects at 38 Egyptian and Arab universities participated in the festival of Shorouk for the creativity of media students in its fourth session.
The International Higher Institute of Information at Al Shorouk Academy organized the festival under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Farid Khamis Ra'i and founder of Shorouk Academy, Major General Dr. Ahmed Abdul Rahim, Chairman of the Academy of Al-Shorouk and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saad Ibrahim Dean of the International Higher Institute of Information.
During the festival, the students of institutes, sections and faculties of information at the level of the Republic and some Arab universities competed during the period from three to 7 March at the Center for Artistic Creativity at the Egyptian Opera House.
The festival honored the artist Sameha Ayoub as the guest of honor at the opening ceremony. In the closing ceremony, Mr. Alaa Thabet, editor-in-chief of Al-Ahram, honored the audience with a group of deans and heads of media departments in Egyptian and Arab universities.
Prof. Dr. Heba Shahin, confirmed that the Media Department at Ain Shams University participated in a number of graduation projects at the level of the "Radio, Television, Press, Public Relations and Advertising" at the Fourth Festival of Student Innovations under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Abdul Wahab Ezzat, President of Ain Shams University Suzan Al – Kellany, Dean of the Faculty of Arts.
She explained that the Department of Communication Sciences and Media received four awards: Pianola magazine won the first place in the level of printed magazines at the level of graduate projects of journalism, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Khaled Fuad, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Ahram Magazine and Mrs. Marwa Said Assistant teacher in the department and directing a technician. The media campaign "the Nubian lesson" also won the first place in the media campaigns at the level of public relations graduation projects under the supervision of Mr. Adel Salama, advertising consultant and former creative director of LOOK advertising agency and Mrs. Wa'ad Wael, teacher in the department.
In addition, the radio program won the second place in the field of radio graduation projects under the supervision of Dr. Shirin Iraqi teacher in the department. The documentary drama "the lost" won second place on the level of graduation projects in the field of drama films drama under the supervision of Mr. Musheir Abdullah, Assistant Editor-in-Chief of Al-Ahram and Mrs. Aya Moner, teacher in the department.
