Activities of the Trainer Student Competition at the Faculty of Arts

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada Mortada, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and the supervision and organization of Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, held the Social Committee of the Youth Welfare Department at the faculty, the activities of the Trainer Student Competition, which was recently announced by the university’s education and student sector at the university faculties level.

     
 
     

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada announced the nomination of students from the various departments of the faculty to participate in the competition. The number of 22 students is selected. The top three are chosen to escalate to obtain the competition prizes offered by the education and student sector at the university, which is 1200 pounds for the first winner, 900 pounds for the second winner, 600 pounds for the third winner who qualifies in turn, to qualify for the final competition at the university level.

Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel confirmed that the competition is based on the idea of ​​testing students’ skills in the field of human development and self-presentation skills, where the student chooses a topic to talk about in front of the jury through the presentation he prepared in advance and includes a brief explanation of the topic chosen by the student in a specific time of only 10 minutes. The members of the jury evaluate the student by placing scores out of a total of 100 degrees that measure his efficiency in choosing the presentation topic, presentation style, good selection of scientific material, use of presentation skills, management of the educational process, use of body language and finally personal charisma and outward appearance.

The jury consisted of Prof. Dr. Abdullah Ramzy, Professor of Psychological Linguistics, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Samir Al-Khatib, professor of drama and theater criticism, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tariq Al-Nagar, professor of linguistics.
