In an atmosphere of familiarity, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, met with the newly arrived students of Ain Shams University, during International Students Orientation Day, organized by the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Department at the university, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saud and Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector, and organized by Prof. Dr. Sherwat Al-Ahmadi Director of the Immigrants Administration, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of the Alumni Association Administration, and a group of faculty members and representatives of faculties, they exchanged friendly dialogues with students and took memorial photos.
Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud added that today’s events were held in the open court area of the university city after its development in order to preserve social distancing and to achieve precautionary measures, with the provision of snacks prepared in the bakeries of the Faculty of Agriculture at the university, along with some symbolic gifts.
Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir pointed out that the day aims to introduce students to each other, guide them to the role of administration and faculties coordinators, and answer their inquiries in a cheerful and simple atmosphere.
Prof. Dr. Sherwat Al-Ahmadi explained that each faculty is represented in this ceremony, with the presence of the responsible coordinator; with the aim of introducing students to him in order to facilitate their communication with him in the event of any needs in the future, adding that today also witnessed the presence of representatives from the university administration to answer any inquiries for students, in addition to the Student Union, and the Ain Shams University Alumni Association is also represented in this meeting to encourage students to join it after graduation.
For her part, Prof. Dr. Reem Al-Kabariti explained that the association is the largest official association for university graduates since its inception in 1950, and provides its members with a number of medical, recreational and educational services, and it can be subscribed to through the association’s website with the provision of electronic payment service, and cash can be paid at the association’s headquarters or Through the faculties' coordinators to facilitate the procedures.
For their part, the students expressed their happiness with this reception and joining a university that is one of the most prestigious universities in Egypt and the Middle East.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud stressed that the number of incoming students at the university this year is the largest of its kind over the previous years, as the university receives students from most countries of the world.
During his dialogue with the students focused Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, as they belong to a university of a distinguished position, and recently the university obtained five stars in the assessment of QS Stars, which puts their responsibility on them, and the university has value in the labor market, as according to the QS International Organization for Ranking of Universities, it ranked 301-500 In the ranking of graduates and employment reputation for the year 2022 to be the only public university that achieved that distinguished position among the top 500 universities in the world, in addition to being the best in the field of student activities, calling on students to engage in student activities in addition to studying seriously.
