The election of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini as Vice President of the Conference of Francophone University Presidents in the Middle East

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, participated in the CONFREMO Conference of Presidents of Francophone Universities in the Middle East, which was organized by the University of Cyprus in cooperation with the Francophone University Agency AUF remotely.

The presidents of the Francophone universities in the Middle East also participated in the conference, in addition to the head of the regional office of the University Agency in the Middle East, Mr. John Noel and Nida Abu Murad, vice president of the conference.

The General Assembly of the Conference of Francophone Universities in the Middle East held a closed session, where Prof. Dr. Lara Boustany, President of Al-Hikma University in Lebanon, was elected as the new president of the conference, and Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, was elected as vice-President of the Conference of Francophone University Presidents in the Middle East.

The conference was opened with a speech by Mr. Tasos Christofides, Rector of the University of Cyprus, the host of the conference, followed by a speech by Prof. Dr. Issam Al-Kurdi, the outgoing President of the Conference, in addition to a speech by Mr. John Noel, Head of the Regional Office in Beirut.
