The Department of Hebrew Language at the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, in the academic year 2021/2022, launched a special program for teaching Hebrew and Israeli studies using credit hours, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, former department head and vice dean of education and student affairs.
The program allows its students to study the structure of Israeli society, understand the depth of society, and prepare researchers who have the ability to develop comprehensive analytical studies for each emerging stage through translation, analysis, and classification of information, preparing analysts who are able to provide a critical analysis of ideas related to Israeli society, and to develop forward-looking visions and future studies.
Graduates of the program also enjoy many job opportunities in government institutions concerned with Israeli affairs, research centers, the diplomatic corps and the press.
Acceptance conditions include:
• Nomination from the Coordination Office for the Egyptian General Secondary School and its equivalent, the literary and scientific division of the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, or one of the Egyptian faculties of Arts.
• Enrollment in this program is allowed for Egyptian and expatriate students who have a high school diploma, literary and scientific division from the Expatriates Department.
