The conclusion of the first scouting and guiding festival for scouts of Ain Shams University

under the auspices of a. Dr. Mahmoud El-Mtini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, concluded the activities of the first scouting and guiding festival for Ain Shams University’s rovers, which were held amid strict precautionary measures with the participation of 11 faculties of the university, namely (medicine, agriculture, engineering, commerce, education, nursing, science, specific education, Ethics, rights, computers and information)

The activities of the Scout Festival were held, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hisham Al-Hariri, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture for Education and Student Affairs, and Mr. Muhammad Al-Khatib, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and the supervision of Ms. Muhammad Al-Sharqawi, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, and Ms. Asmaa Ali Khater, Director of Mobile Administration.

         
   
         

The festival, organized by rangers and public service committee of the General Administration of Youth Welfare at the university, was held over a period of 4 days, at the permanent scout camp at the Faculty of Agriculture.

Through the festival’s activities, which included a display queue for the participating hikers accompanied by the university’s brass band, the flag salutation ceremonies, in addition to theoretical lectures and practical application, the students became able to work together in a team spirit, and their self-reliance and leadership skills were refined and the spirit of cooperation was developed.

         
   
         

The closing ceremony of the festival included the distribution of shields and certificates of appreciation to the distinguished students, as well as some entertainment shows.

It is worth noting that the Education and Student Affairs Sector headed by Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud was keen to develop a plan to develop and equip the permanent scout camp at the Faculty of Agriculture to be the permanent headquarters of the university’s roving administration to facilitate the implementation and establishment of roving activities, external participation, and the organization of university summit courses. Arab universities and were the first in terms of the participation of Arab universities and other internal and external competitions and events.
