Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, announced the provision of 200 scholarships to graduates of faculties of engineering, and faculties of computers and information science to study in private universities (King Salman International, Galala, El Alamein International, New Mansoura) for the academic year 2021/2022, within the framework of the initiative of the President of the Republic.
The minister added that this initiative aims to provide the opportunity for these graduates to obtain a bachelor's degree in modern disciplines; to prepare qualified human cadres to match the features of future jobs, within the framework of the digital transformation policy adopted by the state in all its institutions, and to meet the needs of the local, regional and international labor market.
Dr. Muhammad Shoaira, coordinator of private universities, explained that the grant covers 72 credit hours, which are sufficient to study for two full years, and holders of a bachelor’s degree are allowed from graduates of faculties and engineering institutes or its equivalent, and graduates of faculties of computers and information or their equivalent, during the years (2019, 2020, 2021) to apply for the scholarship, according to the appropriate specialization.
Dr. Shaira added that only graduates of specific faculties are allowed to apply for each of the programs announced by private universities, and courses that have been studied less than seven years ago will be equalized if it is proven that they conform to the courses listed within the requirements of the specialization in which they are registered, and do not exceed the maximum number of courses Which has been studied by 50% of the graduation requirements in the program to which he is enrolled in one of the four private universities.

Shaira confirmed that the scholarships offered will cover tuition fees only, for registration in 72 credit hours of graduation requirements, the applicant undertakes to pay what he spent from the scholarship, if he is unable to complete the graduation requirements, and only the courses he studied at the university in which he is registered are included in the cumulative total of the student’s graduation from private universities.
