The President of Ain Shams University inaugurates a number of new construction and development works at the Faculty of Science

This morning Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, toured to inaugurate a number of new construction and development works in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ragaa, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Yasser Megahid, Director of the Engineering Consulting Center, supervising the design and implementation of projects at the university, the faculty’s deputies, and a group of faculty professors.

Where the auditorium of Prof. Dr. Intisrat Al-Shebki and the conference room of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sabri Abdul Muttalib, Department of Chemistry and a lecture room of Prof. Dr. Intisarat Al-Shebki in the Mathematics Department, where all these halls have been replaced, renovated and equipped at the highest level. It is worth noting that all development work was done at the expense of the faculty as a gift from Prof. Dr. Mohamed Sabri Abdel Muttalib, professor at the faculty.

It is noteworthy that Prof. Dr. Intisrat Al-Shebki, may God have mercy on her, graduated from the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University in 1965, and the late President Gamal Abdel Nasser awarded her the Medal of Science for her excellence. She headed the Mathematics Department Council at the Faculty of Science from 1995 to 2001

The tour also included a visit to the High Speed ​​Dynamic Spectral Measurements Laboratory at the Faculty of Science, whose development in accordance with international standards that qualifies it for international accreditation is the first and leading nucleus in Egypt and the Middle East, where it has no equal in the region and serves many industrial sectors in accordance with the strategic plan of the state and the outcome Obtaining the ISO 17025/2017 certificate for the accreditation of laboratories, through the work team headed by Prof. Dr. Ayman Ayoub Abdel Shafi, laboratory manager, and Dr. Dina Salah El-Din Mohamed, deputy director of the laboratory and Prof. Dr. Ayman Abdelaziz, Quality Manager, and Dr. Hisham Samir, Technical Director and Dr. Mahmoud Hazem, Deputy Director of Quality.

His Excellency also inaugurated the new headquarters of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector in the city, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir Zaki, Executive Director of the Sector and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

The sector has five departments: the International Cooperation Department, and it is managed by Prof. Dr. Mostafa Refaat, the professor at the Faculty of Engineering, in addition to his duties as the Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs at the Faculty and Director of the International Cooperation Department, Grants and Projects Department, managed by Dr. Tamer Club, the administration of arrivals and visiting professors and managed by Prof. Dr. Sherwat Al-Ahmadi, Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, the administration of the Ain Shams University Alumni Association and directed by Dr. Reem Al-Kabariti, a professor at the Faculty of Medicine, and the International Classification Department, and it is moditared by Dr. Ahmed Al-Banna, a teacher at the Faculty of Dentistry.

It is worth mentioning that Ain Shams University is the first Egyptian public university to establish a sector for international relations and academic cooperation.
