Within the framework of the presidential initiative "Dignified Life", and in continuation of the series of convoys launched by Ain Shams University, to various villages and regions of the governorates of Egypt, the convoy of Ain Shams Medical University to Beheira Governorate succeeded in serving the people of the village of Damsna and its dependencies, Abu Homs Center, Beheira Governorate, amid widespread praise from the people of the village and all circles and executive, local and popular leaders in the governorate.
Where the convoy began its work, under the auspices of Major General Hesham Amna, Governor of the Beheira and Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Obaid Saleh, President of Damanhour University, and organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President for Sector Affairs and General Supervision, Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and administrative supervision, Mr. Suhail Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Sector Affairs.
The convoy provided its medical services free of charge to 686 citizens through 11 medical clinics in the specialties of (nose, ear, ophthalmology, dermatology, internal medicine, dermatology, children, women, obstetrics, internal medicine, children, orthopedics, heart, blood vessels, brain and nerves), in addition to measuring blood sugar and pressure for 280 visitors.
Free treatment was also provided to 550 residents of the village through the Caravan pharmacy, as well as 44 cases were referred to receive treatment for free at Ain Shams University Hospitals.
Mr. Suhail Hamza, Secretary General of Ain Shams University, Assistant for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, had received Prof. Dr. Obaid Saleh, President of Damanhour University, at the headquarters of the convoy, where they conducted an inspection tour of the work of the convoy and reassured that masks were delivered free of charge to all who frequent the convoy, and applied all precautionary and preventive measures to ensure the safety of citizens and members of the convoy.
Ain Shams University continues its comprehensive development convoys, to confirm the solidarity of various state institutions in support of Egypt's Vision 2030, as well as actively contribute to supporting the " Dignified Life" initiative and other presidential initiatives to develop the Egyptian countryside.
