The activities of the first day of the Science Week which is organized by the Faculty of Girls at Ain Shams University from 25-28 July 2021, which is held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Ruqayya Shalaby, Dean of the Faculty for Girls, Ain Shams University, included a workshop entitled "Engineering of Quadrilateral Environmental Analysis", which is presented by Dr. Hana Hussein, a teacher of the foundations of education at the faculty, in addition to the holding of the scientific conference of the Department of Home Economics, which witnessed a number of seminars, where a seminar was held entitled “Strengthening immunity and reducing oxidative stress through food, nutrition and the Corona virus.”, speaking during which Dr. Maha Mahmoud Mohamed, assistant professor in the Department of Home Economics at the faculty, and the seminar "A healthy mind in a healthy body", which was presented by Dr. Intisar Saad Shaaban, a teacher in the Department of Home Economics at the faculty, and another symposium entitled "The Role of Composite Materials in Modern Society" was presented by Dr. Nermin Mohamed Ali, Assistant Professor, Department of Spinning and Weaving Engineering, Textile Industries Research Division, National Research Center.
The activities of the day also included the establishment of the scientific conference of the Department of Philosophy, which included 4 seminars, the first seminar entitled "The Role of Women in Promoting and Upholding the Values of Tolerance", during which Prof. Dr. Samiya Abdel Rahman.
And a seminar "The Philosophy of Consciousness in Egyptian Women", speaking during which Prof. Dr. Nadia Pasha, and a seminar on "Women and the Workforce" by researcher Hamsa Ehab, and the last seminar came under the title "Renewing Religious Discourse and the Challenges of the Age" by researcher Rahma Mustafa Kamel Abdel Aziz.
On the sidelines of the activities of the first day, an exhibition for the female students of the Home Economics Department was held.
The activities of the week, which will continue until July 28, are scheduled to witness a number of conferences for the faculty departments, in addition to a series of workshops and exhibitions, with the participation of all departments and sectors of the faculty.
