The Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research inaugurates the Eighth and Sixth International Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Specific Education

Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, opened the activities of the Eighth and Sixth International Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Specific Education at the university under the title “Strategic Planning for Specific Education in the Light of Global Challenges and Transformations “Prospects and Solutions” and held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education And scientific research and Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Dr. Osama El-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty and President of the Conference, and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kadry, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research and Vice-President of the Conference.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh that the Faculty of Specific Education at Ain Shams University is distinguished by presenting a graduate with an integrated personality that combines education, culture and art and keeps pace with the requirements of the labour market.

He stated that the university is in the process of holding a major celebration to celebrate the International Day of the Arabic Language during the month of December, with the participation of all university faculties, calling on the Faculty of Specific Education to prepare to participate in this important event with its distinctive artistic works. He also invited all Egyptian universities to participate.

On the sidelines of the conference, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh inspected the art exhibition, which contains artworks from the students’ works, and praised the technical level reached by the students of the Art Education Department at the college.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Osama El-Sayed said that the conference aims to develop scientific research trends in qualitative higher education to keep pace with modern scientific developments, and analyse and evaluate the role of strategic planning for scientific research in supporting qualitative higher education programs in Egypt and the Arab world, and seeks to improve the lives of Egyptian and Arab citizens in preserving the natural environment for generissues and researchers, in addition to developing strategic planning for qualitative education and showing the importance of research participation by Egyptian and Arab researchers in achieving the planning capacity of scientific research and increasing the strategic planning ability to solve community issues.

He added that the conference deals with six axes: music education, art education, educational media, home economics, educational technology and themes of educational and psychological sciences.

Dr. Mustafa Kadry indicated that the conference activities include a workshop entitled “Initial Signs in Dealing with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing”, in addition to presenting a number of working papers and discussing several researches from various departments of the college, in addition to the participation of Dr. (Nicos Soules), Professor of Multimedia and Graphic Arts at the University of Cyprus Tech electronically with a worksheet on the latest developments in art education.

Prof. Dr. Amani Hanafi, former dean of the faculty, Dean of the Faculty of Music Education, Helwan University, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, Zagazig University, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, Menoufia University, Dean of the Faculty of Home Economics, Helwan University, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Helwan University, and a number of deputies of faculties, Zagazig, faculty deputies, heads of departments and some of the faculty staff and teaching assistant participate in the conference.

At the end of the opening session, Prif. Dr. Osama Al-Sayed, the Dean of the Faculty, presented the Faculty’s shield to Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, in appreciation of the university’s leaders’ continuous support to the Faculty of Specific Education. Prof. Dr.. Mustafa Kadry, Vice Dean of the Faculty, gave the faculty shield to Prof. Osama Al-Sayed for his efforts to develop the faculty and raise its status.
