This was in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ayman Farid Abu Hadid, former Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation and Professor Emeritus at the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Esraa Abdel-Sayed Director of the Office of International Cooperation at Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Maha Farouk Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Beheiry, Dean of the Institute of Graduate Studies and Agricultural Research in the Arid Regions. Prof. Dr. Ali Abdel-Al, Coordinator of the Biotechnology Program, attended on behalf of Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Amani Sulaiman Khalid Director of the Center for Studies and Consultations of Vector Diseases. Prof. Dr. Ayman Helmy, Director of the Central Laboratory and Prof. Dr. Emad El-Din Abdel-Shahid, Assistant Researcher, Agricultural Research Center.
Following the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nazmi Abdul Hamid, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Community Service and Environmental Development at Ain Shams University, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Federal Institute for Higher Vocational Education in the Russian Federation, Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology. On the Russian side, Prof. Dr. Dawood Abdul Smidovich Dafreshov, signed the protocol in order to open the horizons of scientific cooperation and joint research between the two sides.
During the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nazmy Abdul Hamid reviewed the research and scientific capabilities of Ain Shams University as one of the largest Egyptian public universities, where 210 thousand students study and 183 are taught in various colleges and institutes of the university, as well as 38 new and distinctive programs.
He pointed out the wide geographical scope of Ain Shams University, which serves a wide sector, as well as the university branch in Obour city on an area of 150 acres. He also pointed to the expansion of the base of research and scientific partnerships with many countries.
Prof. Dr. Dawood Abdul Samidovich Dafreshov tackled the most important research areas of the Moscow Academy, which is attended by 6 thousand students and has 4 colleges and institutes and has partnerships with a number of countries in the world.
Prof. Dr. Esraa Abdul-Sayed pointed out that the agreement aims at exchanging professors, researchers and students, as well as training students and preparing research cadres in the fields of science, medicine, pharmacy and agriculture.
After that, the two sides exchanged commemorative shields, and field visits were made to the faculties of science, pharmacy and medicine. The field visits will resume on Thursday, 17/1/2019 for the Faculty of Agriculture and the Institute of Graduate Studies and Research for Agriculture in Arid Zones.
