The Scholarship Welfare Office at Ain Shams University organizes a seminar to know more about postgraduate studies abroad

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, The Scholarship Welfare Office at Ain Shams University organized a seminar entitled "Optimal Ways to Obtain Scholarships for Masters and Doctorate Studies Abroad" via video conference technology.

Dr. Abdullah Sami, General Supervisor of Scholarship Welfare Office at Ain Shams University, explained that the seminar comes within the framework of the university's keenness to develop the scientific and practical capabilities of faculty members and researchers with master's and doctoral degrees so that Ain Shams University has a global competitive advantage within the framework of an innovative system in education and research and knowledge.

The seminar was hosted by Dr. Mahmoud Al Damasi, a researcher at the Helmholtz Berlin Institute of Energy and Materials in Germany and founder of the Education Hub website to publish scholarships and assist researchers in writing application papers for scholarships and academic admission.

This seminar aims to provide students, faculty members and their assistants with various skills to learn about graduate programs abroad and how to prepare the papers required to apply for various grants offered by reputable local and international bodies.

The seminar discussed some of the important criteria that must be met in the applicant for grants and the different methods of application, with the presentation of application forms for the methods of application, which differ according to the different bodies providing the grant.

The seminar also discussed some questions presented by a group of university faculty members about the different age groups for grants and the administrative aspects related to the study of certain specializations, in the presence of Professor Karam Hegazy - Assistant Secretary of the University.

At the end of the seminar, Dr. Abdullah Sami praised the tangible progress that Egypt has recently witnessed in the scientific research system, and praised the great effort made by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini - President of Ain Shams University and Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh - Deputy The President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research in providing full support for the research projects presented by the faculty members and researchers at the university, including the university guaranteeing the payment of international publishing expenses, which raises the value of the researcher's scientific production, which in turn makes him more able to obtain prestigious international grants in various Majors.

He noted that the university’s delegates ’welfare office will organize a weekly seminar on Saturday every week to deal with different skills in methods of research and advancement and processing papers for applying for grants, including taking into account the administrative aspects of the university.

Dr. Abdullah Sami also referred to other seminars and workshops that will be held during the month of May to present the various programs offered by the Iskander von Humboldt and Fulbright Commission and how to apply for them.

It is worth noting that the office hosts representatives of different majors and will provide other seminars to present the skills of applying for post-doctoral scholarships.
