The Faculty of Girls at Ain Shams University organized its fifth charity exhibition during this year, which was distinguished from previous exhibitions with the participation of the Home Economics Department by presenting products of crochet, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Rukaya Shalaby, Dean of the Faculty of Girls, Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Amira Youssef, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.
Prof. Dr. Rukaya Shalaby confirmed the faculty’s keenness to hold the charity exhibition while taking all strict precautionary measures in light of the spread of the new Corona virus, explaining that the aim of the exhibition is to provide students with high-quality products and symbolic prices, from which the returns are directed in favor of paying the expenses of students who are unable to attend the faculty.
She added that this comes from the social and societal responsibility that the university and faculty adopts towards its students and workers, which is a form of social solidarity.
It is worth noting that the exhibition witnessed a large turnout of students, and everyone praised the effort made, wishing more work and communication, especially with the most needy groups in the surrounding community, and on the sidelines of the exhibition a symposium was held under the title of environmental impacts of roof cultivation, in which Prof. Osama Al-Beheiri, Dean of Institute of Graduate Studies and Agricultural Research in Arid Zones.
