It is worth noting that the protocol signed between Ain Shams University and the Ministry of Social Solidarity focuses on three basic principles, namely the human right to development and cooperation, integration between the various sectors of the state, confidentiality of data and the privacy of information, in a way that benefits the public, the youth, the Egyptian family and society in general. It allows the existence of channels of communication between the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the university in order to bring about a kind of integration between them in providing a package of social services that the university student needs, as an Egyptian citizen, who represents a goal of sustainable development and is relied upon to contribute to its achievement.
Within the framework of the protocol, a social solidarity unit will be established that will work on three axes, the first of which is the axis of social protection and economic empowerment by providing protection and social development services, rehabilitation and integration services for persons with disabilities, economic empowerment services and financial inclusion.
The second axis is awareness and character building through holding seminars and discussion panels, distributing educational brochures and pamphlets and electronic platforms.
And the last axis is to support knowledge and experiences by making inspection visits to the Ministry of Social Solidarity and dialogue with workers, in addition to making field visits to development projects under the ministry’s umbrella, and volunteering part of the time for the benefit of projects or groups that the Ministry of Social Solidarity serves.
The deans and vice-deans of the faculties also reviewed the achievements of each faculty and what it offers to its students.
