The Minister of Higher Education announces the opening of applications for the UNESCO (L'Oréal 2022 International) Prize for Women in Science

Dr. Ghada Abdel Bari, Secretary-General of the Egyptian National Committee for UNESCO, said that this award aims to enhance the role of women in the field of science, and to reward distinguished scientific figures, explaining that all of: presidents of universities or scientific institutions, members of science academies, holders of research chairs, and winners of the Women in Science Award Previous, holders of a doctorate in science, nominate for this award, which is valued at € 100,000.

The award is awarded to five winners, with one winner for each region: (Africa and Arab countries - Asia and the Pacific - Europe - Latin America and the Caribbean - North America).

With the submission of the Egyptian National Committee for UNESCO

The required papers in English are:

• The candidate’s CV.

• A brief explanation of the importance of the female candidate being deserving of the award (200-400 words).

• List of publications and patents prefixed with most recent.

• The most important (10) publications issued for the candidate, arranged according to importance, with a brief explanation of their importance (less than 150 words).

• 3 to 5 letters of recommendation from distinguished scholars from different sides.

• A letter of nomination addressed to the Egyptian National Committee for UNESCO.

All the required papers shall be sent to the committee through the e-mail shown below before the deadline of May 20, 2021, so that the Natural Sciences and Technology Committee can decide on the nominations submitted.
