Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Graduate Studies and Research, conducted an inspection tour to follow up the postgraduate students' exams at Faculty of Al-Alsun, as he was received by Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, accompanied by Prof. Ashraf Attia, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Nasser Abdel-Al, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Yamna Safwat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, in the presence of Prof. Abdel Khaleq Abdel Moneim, Secretary General of the University.
Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, during his tour stressed on the need to provide a suitable environment for students in general to conduct exams amid intensive precautionary measures to maintain the safety of students in light of the repercussions of the emerging corona virus (covid-19), praising the safety systems and procedures that the Faculty administration follows during exams periods.
During his inspection tour, he conducted a general tour of the faculty during which he inspected the recently opened credit-hour halls in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, also inspected the development work that takes place in the faculty halls, praising the distinct capabilities that have become possessed by one of the language and human sciences fortresses in the Middle East, where the halls development work witnessed a qualitative leap in terms of access to multimedia, computer technology and the Internet In the field of teaching languages.
He also directed the necessity of developing study programs in cooperation with partnerships with international universities to develop students' capabilities and keep pace with the global labor market, and stressed the importance of strengthening educational relations with various countries of the world to develop the educational process in the faculty, as well as expanding the field of establishing joint degrees with major international universities, and supporting the process of student exchange at the bachelors and postgraduate levels.
With regard to developing the international publishing process, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of the University, stressed the importance of holding more training workshops for faculty members, the assisting body and all researchers, with the aim of creating a new generation of researchers who are able to expand in the field of international publishing of their research; in order to contribute to raising the international classification of the university in various fields.
As confirmed by Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, said that the faculty seeks during the coming period to increase the number of international programs, through international partnerships, to upgrade the university's ranking worldwide, as well as provide excellent educational services to Egyptian and foreign students, as the joint master's degree in specialized translation has been activated with the University of Leipzig in Germany and the European master's program between Ain Shams University and the University of Salamanca, referring to the faculty’s credit-hour programs and reached 5 programs, namely: the English translation and interpretation program, the French translation and interpretation program, the specialized translation program in the Russian language, the specialized translation program in the language. Chinese, the Arabic language and translation program for non-native speakers, which is unique to Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University in the Middle East, but it has not been implemented for this year in light of the circumstances of the global Corona pandemic.
She explained that Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University offers distinguished innovative programs in which quality standards are applied to meet the needs of the labor market and society, and it also strengthens research capabilities to qualify graduates. In order to become researchers specializing in the fields of language, literature and translation, the Faculty aims to excel in studies of language, literature and translation at the local, regional and international levels by following a system that combines science and innovation.
