Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saud praises the QR-code electronic registration system applied by Ain Shams computers during the first semester exams

The Faculty of Computers and Information at Ain Shams University continues the marathon of the first semester exams, which will continue until March 27th, amid strict precautionary measures, and in this context, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, accompanied by Prof. Nagwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information, and Prof. Hala Musheer, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, an inspection tour for the regularity of exams, where I am assured of the implementation of all precautionary measures and social distancing among students Within the commissions.

He praised the QR code electronic registration system applied by the Faculty of Computers as an alternative to paper registration, which is done by registering the student’s attendance for the exam, and is based on linking the student’s sitting number to his examination committee’s number, with recording the location of the committee and the dates of each student’s examinations, and this system is also linked to the electronic control (UMS).

         
   
         

Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud recommended that this system be circulated among the various faculties of the university. In line with the university's automation and digital transformation, especially since this system provides a high degree of security while reducing or dispensing with paper circulation under pandemic conditions.

Prof. Dr. Nagwa Badr said that the faculty has taken all precautionary measures, starting with measuring the temperature of everyone who visits the faculty using thermal reagents, as well as providing disinfectants and sterilizers in all floors and leaving an adequate safety distance between students within the committees.

She added that the total number of students who take exams for the first semester amounted to 5,000 distributed among the four teams, and more than one exam period is allocated throughout the day to reduce the intensity of the presence, with an emphasis on students leaving the faculty immediately after the completion of their exams to prevent gatherings.
