The units of the Special Needs Center at the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood at Ain Shams University participated in the “Our Hands in Their Hands We Renew Their Lives” forum, which is affiliated with the Projects and Handicrafts Union at the Civil Education Center on the island, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Howayda Al-Gebali, Dean of the Graduate School of Childhood, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Kahki, Director of the Special Needs Care Center.
Where children's products were displayed in some units of the center, such as the Art Therapy Unit, the Vocational Rehabilitation Unit, and the Origami Unit, in the presence of Dr. Amal Al-Hadidi, Head of the Art Therapy Unit at the Center, Dr. Yasser Hammouda, the learning difficulties unit at the center, and Dr. Sana Farrag, Head of the Vocational Rehabilitation Unit
Three children who frequent the art therapy and vocational rehabilitation units also participated in the exhibition’s activities, and the children made a simple explanation of how to make some of their products, including printing on magazines, bags, T-shirts, and stages of making liquid soaps and disinfectants, and from the activities of the art therapy unit, drawing on glass, frames and cloth, designing wax and recycling waste. In addition, various shapes were shown through folding paper (origami), and other distinguished activities that help children develop their skills.
A number of institutions aiming to rehabilitate people with special needs to integrate them into society and qualify them to work in its institutions participated in the exhibition.
