Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University inaugurated a number of treatment units in professional rehabilitation at the Center for the Care of Children with Special Needs affiliated to the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood at Ain Shams University, and accompanied him during his inaugural tour, Prof. Muhammad Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Howayda Al-Gabali, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood, and Prof. Dr. Randa Kamal, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Muhammad Al-Buhairy, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. DrAhmed El-Hakki, Director of the Center for the Care of Children with Special Needs, and a group of faculty professors.
This was followed by a ceremony organized by the Graduate School of Childhood under the slogan "Yes to empower people with special needs ... No bullying."
During his speech, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini praised the fruitful cooperation of civil society bodies in various forms through all Rotary clubs in its various branches, which contribute effectively in various fields of support for scientific research, empowering people with special needs, and supporting vocational training for various sectors, through a number of protocols and effective partnerships with the university.
Prof. Dr. Howayda Al-Gebali added that this celebration coincides with the International Day for People with Special Needs, noting the role of the new units in achieving professional empowerment for people with special needs and integrating them into society to be an effective energy in building society. Where one unit trains and qualifies people with special needs in making sterilizers and soaps, and the other unit trains them on various printing works.
A number of faculty professors also provided an explanation of the center’s various units and how to provide diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative services for children through the units of the Center for the Care of Children with Special Needs that exceed 33 units.
Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini and Prof. Dr. Howayda Al-Gabali has a number of distinguished models of children with special needs and a number of faculty professors.
The ceremony included a number of various artistic activities presented by children with special needs.
At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini and his accompanying delegation inspected the products of the work of people with special needs.
